I'm no farmer...

I'm a city kid, not a farmer, I've never had any success growing anything. I attempted to grow tomatoes in my backyard in sunny Southern California and proceeded to produce one tomato between three plants. That's not exactly a success story, although that one tomato was quite delicious. After that lovely tomato I decided I wanted to try something that I really enjoyed...marijuana. I went to my local pharmacy and purchased two clones for a total of $30. I can't even recall the strain, one was a hybrid the other was an indica. To set the stage this was a hot July afternoon in Los Angeles, I was little late to the game in the growing window, but fuck it. What did I have to lose? I already had two large pots in my backyard and some potting soil leftover from said tomato grow. Weed is a weed right? Shouldn't it be easy to do? Boy was I wrong! Everything started off peachy then some spots appeared on the leaves...they weren't supposed to be there. It turns out brown spots can mean a lot of different ailments to the plants, where could I even begin to diagnose this brown spotted problem? I came to my own conclusion that this was a PH problem, the water was too basic. So I added a little tiny drop of vinegar to the watering can and let'er rip. Well to make a long story short, that didn't kill the plant but also didn't exactly make it a stellar performer. Come September my short, stubby little plants actually produced some buds. I think I plucked them from their mother a tad too early but nevertheless it was homegrown smokable pot that wasn't all that bad. It would definitely never win an award but I wasn't trying to. I came away with 25 grams between two plants, not bad huh? I was proud of my haul and that encouraged me to go a step beyond. Indoor. Hydroponic. Grow Light. Seeds. What could go wrong!?Follow as this city kid with a love for dope attempts to make some magical buds...

Thanks for reading.
