"Girl Scout Cookies" - Day 1

Well here goes nothing. While my last foray into chronic cultivation was a success... it left a lot to be desired. I'm the type of person who goes all in when I start something so this is me going all in on making some delicious homegrown.

After lots of sampling of different strains, and many a stoney night spent reading about all issues, strains and many types of growing styles, I settled on "Girl Scout Cookies Extreme". Most of my reading was on www.ilovegrowingmarijuana.com and www.growweedeasy.com both sites I found to be super helpful and very informative of all things green. I ultimately purchased my seeds from ilgm.com as well.

The seeds came in discrete packaging all the way from Amsterdam and I was ready to roll. I have to admit I was a little nervous to start the whole process, I not only had spent a decent sum of money on the whole setup, I really don't like failing. I got over that pretty quick and said fuck it, let's go, I can learn on the way and hopefully learn something about myself too. I got the seeds to pop using the paper towel method underneath two small plates. All four seeds opened in two days. My grow set-up consists of a 48" x 48" x 80" Finether grow tent, a Yield Lab 600w lamp with HPS and MH bulbs, Vivosun 6" inline fan with Carbon Filter, and the Hyrdro West 4 bucket Deep Water Culture Hydroponic System. All very conveniently purchased from amazon.com. It was pretty easy to set up as long as you are good with following directions and at least a little mechanically inclined. My growing medium within the DWC system is Clay Pebbles. To begin I soaked the pebbles in 5.5 PH water for 24 hours and rinsed them at least 5 times until the water ran clear. I used Rapid Rooter peat moss plugs to start the popped seeds. I placed the rooters in a clay pebbles cave and ran clean 5.5 PH water running through the system. The 600W MH bulb is cracked to 100% and it's running 24 hours continuously to get these guys growing fast!
